The First Baptist Church of Waverly is an evangelical American Baptist Church on the New York/Pennsylvania border. Our mission is to encourage people to make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ was put on the cross for our sin and rose again for the salvation of all those who believe. The First Baptist Church of Waverly is a multi-generational and family oriented congregation with an active Sunday School ministry for all ages. Currently, we have our morning worship service. At 11 a.m, we have a multi-generational blended worship service that features modern praise music led by our praise team, children's choir, the great hymns of the faith, a choir and a pipe organ. In our worship time, we use multimedia resources in order to enhance our time together as the people of God. In spite of the different styles of music displayed in our worship service, our focus is still on Jesus Christ and we offer Biblical preaching and teaching that is designed to help us have a closer relationship with the living Christ.

The First Baptist Church of Waverly, New York, is a community of believers in Jesus Christ whose purpose is to maintain a ministry of worship and teaching that will result in its members' spiritual growth, fellowship and outreach to those without Christ in the Twin Tiers and the world.
